WEST HIGHLAND WAY IN 15 HOURS

I normally go to the World Cup at Fort William every year and it would be a shame to go to Scotland and not do some mountain biking. As part of my Mountain Bike Challenge Fund we decide to try to raise some money for Sheffield Childrens Hospital, instead of going round cap in hand we all decided to put in the money ourselves and just do it mainly because of the onset of the credit crunch. So Myself ,Steve Hollis, Craig Mckay, Roy Tomlinson and Gav Watson set off from Milngavie to go to Fort William about 100 miles away, we all managed to get there in one piece after an arduous journey in 15 to 20 hours. (we all had differing times) It was the first time that this has been done which we are all proud of. We had all pledged £100 to the fund before we set off, but we all had a bonus when we finished as the money was paid on all our behalves by Evenort as part of the Master Cutlers Challenge that they were taking part in, a big thank you to Craig Mckay for organising this for us.

The rock is a tribute to my dear departed Mum, I carried it in my Camelbak until Loch Lomond.
